The upper of the Protection Pack Sandstone iteration of the New Balance 2002R is created using a mesh-like textile base overlaid with nubuck leather that gives the shoe both style and support. The laces, tongue, and sock liner are all a creamy sand color to match the primary color represented throughout the upper. New Balance branding appears on the gray insoles and the gray tongue tag.
